SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun even family-friendlier as of winter 2018/2019. Parking exclusively for families directly at the gondola station in Andermatt
December 3, 2018
Matti family parking is located above the Altkirch casern at the valley station of the Gütsch-Express gondola cableway in Andermatt. SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun has also expanded its children’s offering this season at the KidsArena Matti in Nätschen and at the KidsArena Druni in Sedrun.
Families with children know it all too well: The trek from the car to the valley station can be arduous with children. SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun aims to change that. The parking lot above Altkirch casern in Andermatt is now reserved exclusively for families. Visitors with at least one child in their car may park there, close to the Gütsch-Express gondola cableway. The parking ticket for the whole day costs CHF 5 and can be purchased on location.
KidsArena Matti, on the sunny slops of Nätschen, has been expanded. The children's paradise at the middle station on Nätschen has practice slopes for children and a large snow playground. It is the ideal place for beginners’ first curves in the snow. The menu at family restaurant Matti, with the “Bärenhöhle” (bear’s den) play area, also includes meals especially for children.
In Sedrun, KidsArena Druni, with its adjoining family restaurant, is located right next to the Sedrun train station. The piste is easy to oversee and is perfect for the first winter sport activities. Adjacent to it is the so-called Beginner Garden.
Additional attractions for the young and the young at heart are the snow tubing runs at Sedrun and Disentis, as well as zorbing – amusement with the inflatable, double-capsule ball – also at Disentis.
Visitors who want a special souvenir photo can go to the new photo points at Nätschen and Cuolm Val, where the automatic camera is triggered by holding up one’s ski pass. The souvenir photo can then be obtained via www.skiline.cc or by using the app sharing the same name.
